According to the police conference, Joe Ryan was only known to Christine, not to the Au pair or husband.

So as far as police know, it wasn’t a cuckolding / swinger situation. Could be that Christine and Joe were friends, lovers, or even that Joe was just performing services like landscaping or handiwork for Christine. Police probably know the nature of their relationship (from communications between Joe and Christine) but they aren’t saying.


I don't see that as the same as saying Brendan did not know "of" Joe, just that he and au pair were not in a direct relationship with Joe as Christine was. It seems likely that Joe was set up.

Crazy au pair has netfkix series written all over it. How awful for everyone.

LE has not yet said. In the press conference yesterday, they say he was "known to Christine Banfield". On reddit, some friends said he frequented dating/kink websites. We do not yet know if that was the nature of the relationship. Some people here get upset when that is mentioned. They need to remember that your sex life does not make you a "good" or "bad" person.

She is referring to Brendan Banfield, the man in the photo with her. By months, wonder if that dates to before the killings?

Per the LE press conference linked in this thread, Joe Ryan, the deceased, was known only to Christine. He was NOT in a relationhship with the au pair, the woman who shot him.

The au pair's caption is shocking whenever it was made. If it was prior to the murders, it was her married boss and married boss' husband. If after, she sure doesn't seem too sad or traumatized by what went down, including having SHOT someone to death.

I noticed her eyelashes are curled in her mugshot. Odd young woman, her expression in the photo does not look scared.

Since prior au pair had married, did she have that as her plan?
