I do not believe that he would be welcomed by the ,Dems!

Instead, they offer a presidential candidate who is facing multiple legal charges, a minority senate leader who has one foot in the grave, and a slim majority in the House that is characterized by infighting and disarray. Way to go, Repugs! Why should anyone believe you'd be able to deliver on anything but political theater?
Well said
Nonetheless: McCarthy losing his position as speaker of the house because he chose to keep government running even though he must have known the MAGAs would never forgive him - reflects well on him and his legacy.
He has done some crazy stuff but he chose to keep government running, which many MAGAs don’t want to do.
I don’t think they realize that a healthy private sector requires a functioning public sector. Companies need educated healthy employees, safe roads and airways for transporting trades goods, safe food supplies, and many other functions of government.
Anonymous wrote:Man you republicans really hate our country. Throwing the country into chaos because you vote in a bunch of toddlers throwing hissy fits. This right here is why you should join democrats in demanding fair maps for elections. Your hardliners were put into place by gerrymandered maps.
Anonymous wrote:I used to think that Republicans (at least the country club Republicans who held elected office from the time of Reagan through the George Bushes) were disciplined, rule-driven, heartless, and bloodless. And we Democrats were part of the party that caused Will Rogers to say, "I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." Well, no longer...but now some of the sane Republicans will elect someone else, and the far right will continue to throw tantrums.

The only way he becomes Speaker is if he can either convince the Freedumb Caucus to trust him (and risk getting screwed by them) or by convincing Dems to support him (not likely to happen)
DP. But I agree he’s the most likely candidate. However, he has myeloma.
It’s a very treatable cancer and he should be able to live for a long time, hopefully. Whether he wants to waste it on these morons is another question.
