Right? He was the director of travel, the travel league that people are complaining about. He was then one who approached DCSC when his club ran out of money. Seems like the problem is not just DCSC.

Yes. He is the director of soccer for the east travel program at DCSC. He is a like-able guy, however over time you will figure out that his organization and execution is terrible.

My kid was going to try out for DCSC and out of the blue got an email from this new Brookland club. Looks like quite a few coaches from DCSC. The whole thing feels very dysfunctional.

Yes, they were cancelled. Not sure why, although turnout for the one we went to looked fairly well attended.

As someone whose child just tried out for DCSC travel (East), I am very confused by all of this.

What impact will this have, if any really, with the DCSC teams? Got the impression most of the club’s travel teams are set/will soon be set for next season.

So I don’t get it, people are complaining about travel league in DCSC but willing to follow the director of the same travel league elsewhere?

Just got an email for tryouts for this new club so I guess it’s happening.

Perhaps I am wrong, but implying they live in DC, but don’t play in DC (i.e. with DCSC) because they have issues with the club. But honestly, the club works for some and maybe not for others. Level of team, convenience, expectations/goals, and coach are all variables. Most clubs have operational inefficiencies and do odd things in one way or another.

Can you tell them their social media is not helping to take their travel program seriously and either to start a second channel for their RL/top travel teams or not post really bad bloopy/unconnected soccer reels?

I am a parent of a DC soccer player.

I am close to DCSC management.

They believe in what they are doing and do not care about feedback.

Thus, my DC kid does not play in DC.

i want to believe you but how can you be a parent of a DCSC soccer player but your kid does not play in DC? or is this supposed to be some kind of cutesy play on words?

Who cares what their social media looks like? I've been happy with my kids' coaching there, which is more important to me than whatever they post on Instagram.
