Cillian Murphy in most of his roles. Dreamy eyes.
Noah from the notebook
Chandler Bing from friends
James marsden in 27 dresses. Or the notebook. He was rich and kind in the notebook, so let’s go with that.

+1 The only one for me for decades.
My dream date is Colin Firth sends me a beautiful dress and jewels before our date. Then he picks me up, dressed as Mr. Darcy. He compliments my shoes (nothing dirty happening here). We engage in witty conversation over a delicious, decadent 8 course meal. Then he takes me home, requests permission to kiss my hand. I hesitate as it's so soon. Then two more dates of the same. On the third date, I permit him to finally kiss my hand. He asks me to marry him, then I go live in his sprawling estate as Mrs. Darcy. The nanny brings my kids to see me for an hour at tea time in between all their private lessons, Downton Abbey style.
Respect, my friend! Now this is the kind of post I hoped to read! (King Richard-from-"Galavant" PP here. We'll invite you and Darcy to come to our castle sometime. Darcy will find Richard ridiculous but Richard will love Darcy and will happily, obliviously be showing off his dragon. That is not a euphemism for anything else, by the way.)

John Walton
Good choices. I might even choose John-Boy.

Anonymous wrote:I haven’t thought about this in a long time, but when I was younger it was Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gilbert Blythe and Almanzo Wilder (from the books. Laura has to live with a family for one of her first teaching jobs. The family is struggling and the situation is stressful. Almanzo starts picking her up and driving her back each weekend even though it takes hours). I will also take John Thornton from North and South (as played by Richard Armitage - haven’t read the book).

My fictional husband changes a lot. I'm very fickle.

why? He'd be gone all the time and the hair all over the house from his annoying pet?

Luke Perry - yes. Dylan "mad bad and dangerous to know" McKay - no. Too moody. And your mother-in-law would be Iris, no thanks.
Steve Sanders is the only husband material from that show.
What?! Steve had Celeste who was LOVELY and he cheated on her! I like Dylan's moodiness. I'm fine with him going off to Baja to surf for two days to leave me to putter around by myself, or sitting in a cafe reading all day. And Iris is off in Hawaii for the most part. I could deal with her a few times a year. I am sticking with Dylan.
Ok, but he’s a heroin addict in later seasons.
(Steve never did anything for me, physically. I didn't like his tight curly hair, didn't like his facial structure, didn't like his body, and he was just too stupid.)
