Lincoln Highway and Great Circle (Maggie Shipstead) were two of my favorites last year. (They came out in 2021, but I only got around to reading them in 2022, which honestly is pretty good for me.)
And The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois (Honorée Fanonne Jeffers). I guess reading stuff a year late is my thing.
Those of you who loved Cutting for Stone -- did the conclusion make you like it more or less? Because I was chugging along pretty happily, and then the conclusion pissed me off enough that when I hear his new book being touted, I'm hesitant.
