Why? You don’t serve yourself eggs with your butt.
I think about people sitting and spreading fecal matter on the seat, and then I think about them putting their hands down on their seats (let's say to get up from the seat) and getting fecal matter on their hands and then touching the buffet tongs. This is an actual norovirus spreading scenario in my food safety class
Thong or not, half the people in that buffet line have fecal matter or worse on their hands. Stop eating at buffets. Seriously.

Great job! And it's not identifying, which I worried about a bit.
As for the suit--it's fine. She seems comfy. Her suit stays put and she doesn't have to fuss with it.
I do agree with other posters that shorts/wrap/a towel are essential for any suited person sitting on furniture.
