I don't particularly like the Blue Virginia site nor do I visit it often for that reason, but it was the pandemic school closures and covid vaccines mandates supported by the Ds without risk/benefit data to support that pushed me over the edge as opposed to that website.
I also have problems with the illiberal left, and Blue Virginia is probably a general example of it.

Actually "all the trans stuff w/ kids and school" is pushing Gen Z to vote. Go Gen Z.
Young people always tend to vote D. The people who swing elections, especially in VA, are middle aged suburban and exurban moms. And while it’s anecdotal, I know quite a few who are moving R due to “trans stuff w kids in school”.
They will risk women’s rights over this fake issue? Your friends need to educate themselves.
Do you know any kids in middle or high school? I do not have that wide a social circle but I know multiple kids who identify as trans, and some are medicalized. I find that disturbing.

The people who swing elections are increasingly Gen Z.
Oh really, they turned VA for Youngkin? You want it be one way, but it’s the other way.
No, of course they did not turn Virginia for Youngkin. That's the point. There were more Gen Z voters in 2022 than in 2021. There will be more Gen Z voters in 2023 than in 2022. There will be more Gen Z voters in 2024 than in 2023. And so on. And Gen Z voters, as a group, turn out to vote against candidates pushing the "trans stuff w/ kids and school".
People say this every election. Remember when the youth were going to turn up in a blue wave for Bernie Sanders?
Have you paid any attention to any election since 2016?

Sure, I can vote blue for candidates who are more radical than I want because I'm mad about SCOTUS and I don't want my kids to get shot in school. But given the absolute f*ing partisan gridlock of our government, I have very little faith that we're going to get abortion rights legislation or see any gun legislation (in Virginia or on a national level).
I'm going to vote anyway, but I could see this leading to a lot of apathetic moderate Dems who just decide to stay home.
This makes the VA state senate elections absolutely crucial. We have the slimmest margins right now.
Don’t throw away women’s rights in VA. We already lost them nationally.
15 weeks.
Safe, legal, rare.
Germany and Czechia’s limits are at 12 weeks.
Do you want unfettered access to abortion on demand up to or including live birth?
Yes. Absolutely. 100%. The government will not be permitted to regulate a woman’s body.
Interesting choice of words, however, considering many of these Draconian abortion laws would require women to being non-viable fetuses to term.
Not sure why you bring up Germany or the Czech Republic, however. How are the relevant and why would we ever emulate them?
