"I see Kate's PR team has entered the room" lady on every Kate Middleton thread. No, sweetheart, PR people for the Royals aren't bothering themselves with some piddly little website in the U.S. that nobody knows or cares about.

Is it also insipid to say Fridge?

The one who always suggests a beautiful piece of crystal when people ask what to bring as a host gift.

What food for a 5 yr old bday party?
Food to eat on a long road trip?
Meal ideas for savagely hungry teens?
Pool potluck ideas?
A side dish for XYZ-type dinner?
A post hike lunch with only a yeti cooler?

The answer is always: Charcuterie board

I laughed out loud at these posts. I love anyone who is this committed to baked ziti. If you can get baked ziti into non-food related posts you will forever be my hero.

What do Baked Ziti Aficionado posts look like? Does she just suggest baked ziti for every menu question?

Yes basically . What to cook for thanksgiving if you don’t like turkey ? Baked ziti. What do serve at kids’ birthday party? Baked ziti . What to bring to work potluck? Baked ziti. Need fast weeknight dinner ideas for a rut? Baked ziti. Her counterpart is the Norma Kamali poster in beauty and fashion.

Good answer for those questions.

The Pete Davidson stan. She often uses Apple emojis to express how hot he is.
She is likely the only poster in DVUMland who finds him even remotely attractive. No one else shares her bad taste.

Better than the grape jelly meatballs in the crockpot poster!

Go ahead and shame me, but after reading one of those threads, I Googled a recipe and made grape jelly meatballs (probably hasn’t had them since a church potluck when I was in elementary school) and while I wouldn’t eat them all the time, damn, they were good.

Damn, I guess I'm making baked ziti for dinner tomorrow because it's literally all I can think about after reading these posts.

With garlic bread, of course.

Baked Ziti poster, if you're out there, feel free to drop some recipes/tips/inspirational photos.

I’m not the baked ziti poster but I am a baked ziti semi-pro. Look up the pioneer woman’s recipe. It’s my favorite.
The quality of ingredients is the key to a good baked pasta. Get the best tomatoes and fresh basil and oregano for the sauce. Add a little red wine to the sauce and let it simmer for a couple of hours. Don’t rush. use fresh ricotta and mozzarella.
I don’t usually use fresh pasta for baked pasta dishes - in my opinion the dry boxed ziti cooked al dente works well for baking.
Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel lol

The littles poster who think only one person is annoyed by her use of the term "littles".

+1.

I’d also like to add: people who can’t seem to understand when more than one person are disagreeing with them, so they accuse others of sockpuppeting or being the OP posting yet again or something. Just accept that people don’t agree with you. It’s not a conspiracy or trolling, really.

Yes to this.

The littles posters also seem to not understand that the anonymous nature of DCUM means that using cutesy language is always going to be less well received than it might be in a text to friends or when posting on Facebook. Those people know you, and may either share your affection for these terms or simply be willing to overlook it because they know and like you.

On DCUM, you are what you post. When you post comments about your kids and refer to them as "littles", other posters know nothing else about you, and you come off to a lot of people as unserious, twee, and a little dumb.

The lack of self awareness there is almost as annoying as the terms themselves.

Case in point - another post by the anti little poster

Case in point - another post assuming that everyone who disagrees with them is the same poster 😂

You are unhinged.

They are correct. The people insisting that only one person disagrees with them are unhinged.

Can we ban the use of “unhinged”?

At one point there was someone in the entertainment forum who kept referring to any verbose poster who disagreed with them as "Sanctimonious Twit." It was hilarious because at various points, they accused me of being Sanctimonious Twit, and at other points, they quoted me to try and prove a point to Sanctimonious Twit. But really they were just mad at any poster who could string together more than two sentences and didn't agree with them. I had a lot of fun with that one.

God, you’re dull. Once again, it’s not a single poster. Using “Littles” is insipid and if you do it, multiple people will tell you it’s insipid. DP.

Insipid! Yes, that word is perfect. And it's not just "littles" -- that's just a particularly egregious example. It's any poster who writes in this twee, cutesy way that is intended to make them seem childlike and adorable. I know people like this IRL and I hate it there too. You are a grown up. Learn to talk like one.

Grandbabies. Now that’s a word that really grinds my gears

Both grands and grand babies are great!

Absolutely not.
