This teacher was totally manipulating the grades both by boosting them or otherwise. In 2016, a HS teacher together with a few students went to the new admin to report that the grades in these students’ end of year report cards were considerably lower than the grades he had received. The new principal, after examining the spreadsheets told the teacher and the students that it was a “ computer glitch”. This teacher who advocated for the students was terminated the next day, just a couple days before the start of the new school year and the BASIS DC teacher who was responsible now for the grades was moved to McLean, the very first day school started. I know this for sure because I was one of the students.
I will not be surprised if this same teacher is manipulating certain students’ grades at BASIS McLean.

The facts speak for themselves:

If you are looking for a great private school option for an academically motivated kid, BIM should be on your short list.
Then why dont the Basis kids make a statistical dent on Ivy matriculations like the other schools in the area? I know that is not the only measure of success but it is notable that the other schools do show up to some extent and Basis does not.

50% of BIM seniors go to a Top 25 university. And that is with few athletic recruits and legacies. Those are impressive results.
Most Ivy admissions at the Big 3 consists of athletic recruits and legacies.

That is nonsense. Stop trolling.
I am not trolling. People on this board HATE Basis!! Comically so!!
You are a troll and a 🤡.
1) No one hates BIM here except you. You were fired from the school. You sit in your basement wasting hours scouring DCUM for any favorable mention of BIM and then repeatedly rage post incoherent rantings. Just get a job at Starbucks and move on with your life.
2) Why would anyone with a kid at a Big 3 "hate" BIM? They/we could care less about the school.
3) In fact, why would anyone "hate" BIM except someone with a grudge and chip on their shoulder like you.
4) The fact is that the data speak for themselves. BIM is cheaper than the Big 3 and offers similar results. If you account for the fact that BIM doesn't have much in the way of athletic recruits and legacies, BIM may offer even better results.
Good for them.
I am truly happy that you love BIM and that it is great for your kids. That’s really what matters.
That said, there are in fact a lot of former families as well as faculty and staff that did not enjoy the same experience and or share the same values that you have. Many of them share their opinions on this board. I can assure you it is not one former disgruntled teacher that posts here, no matter how many times you try to create that narrative.
How are you able to assure that? Also, where are the opinions of the former families in this 9-page thread? All the negative comments I see are generic ones trying to make a great school look bad, except the one about HOS changes before 2021 and turnover based on the school’s faculty webpage going back to 2020 (which is definitely from a former faculty, or an insane person).
