If we count all the tribes that existed the entire country is patchworked with former nations. I was making fun of Texas exceptionalism, especially when the state seems exceptionally crappy and proud of it.

Excellent. Florida was close to being a swing state. If Dems keep moving there, maybe it can become a swing state again in the near future.
