Of course, you can overcome your genetics with diet and exercise. My point is that it's much harder for some people than others. FWIW, I am not even overweight. But I am one of those average-sized people who has to constantly think about food in order to keep myself from becoming overweight. And I feel like the glib posters who say "it's just calories in, calories out" don't understand that they were born on third base.
