This is so dumb and the conservative talk host who released these is such a weasel, using this to push his show and his culture war. He's really loathsome to use the victims' families pain for his culture war. He posted one page from her journal dated 2/2/23 where Hale expresses antipathy toward the students, using slurs for white people.
Crowder the posts two other pages from a much larger journal that details the shooters day-of tactical plans.
Audrey Hale shot up her previous school. She attended the school she shot up. Like so many other school shooters who shoot up their previous school - Uvalde, Marjorie Stoneman, Sandy Hook. It's pretty clear the shooter had been planning this for a long time.
But Crowder is a horrible bastard for making this all about him and his petty political crusade.
I dislike Crowder and don't think manifestos should ever be released because they inspire copycats. But how is this different from when people do a deep dive on the political beliefs of any other mass shooter?
One page isn't a "deep dive." Show me the the 50-100+ other pages of the journal and maybe I parse out the motivations of a crazy person.
Hale shot up her previous school, to which she harbored a ton of resentment. This is extremely common with school shooters who target their previous schools. On the date of 2/3/23 she seemed pretty obessed with hating the "white privilege" of the school. Oh, and oh yeah, she called the same kids "fa##ot" on the same page.
Like I said, Crowder is a total pr#ck. He made this all about him.
So then, you'd say the same about anyone who published/commented on the manifesto of a mass shooter, right? Say, the Washington Post's lengthy discussion of Dylann Roof's manifesto? Did the WaPo "make it all about them" by writing about his manifesto?

DP. Publishing shooter's writings is a bad idea in all cases, because it encourages future shootings. Roof is a bit unusual because he survived and was tried so his motivation was probably going to get air time either way, but I think that Post article was probably a bad idea (the link isn't working for me so I won't say definitively).

Meanwhile nashville parents are in the dark- the shooter is said to have targeted other local schools and parents just want to understand the threat.
