Question for the women who said they would like the man ordering, do you find that you prefer for male/female gender roles in general? Absolutely no judgement from me, I'm just curious if it falls in line with that.
I like my husband ordering. I wouldn’t say that I prefer male/female gender roles in general. Someone mentioned a male co-worker ordering for her, and that’s completely inappropriate. But I do prefer male/female gender roles in the context of my romantic relationship with my spouse.
Do you tell him what you want or does he just order what he thinks you want or what he wants to get for you?
I tell him what I want. We normally talk about what we are going to order when we are looking at the menu and deciding. I do this with my friends, kids, and coworkers too. I thought everyone did this.

He casually asked what I was going to have and then when it was time to order went ahead and ordered it for me. I was miffed because I planned to make some kind of modification but didn't get the chance as the waitperson left. Annoying. I can speak for myself.
Translation: I learned the guy wasn't rich, so I seized on a dubious reason to not like him.

The second time he blew me away when he said he was going to order the same dish for both of us and it wasn't a dish I particularly liked. I let him do it but spent the rest of the evening stewing about it and found out weeks later he was seeing these other women on the side and it was all just a control game for him.
