I tell him what I want. We normally talk about what we are going to order when we are looking at the menu and deciding. I do this with my friends, kids, and coworkers too. I thought everyone did this.


People have done this before if they are paying for the meal or if one person is handling the group check and they are ordering appetizers or something. I don't think that is over the top. It's weird when you sit down with someone whether a friend or significant other and they decide the food for the entire table themselves.

By ordering do we mean ordering like you would for a kid after they told you they wanted chicken tenders or ordering for you and picking out what you eat? To me it makes a difference

I would find it absolutely rude in the current times we are living in today if a man, even if he were my spouse ordered for me.
