The people who are saying it's one data point don't seem to understand how harmful that church's beliefs are to OP's family. It says they shouldn't exist. How exactly is OP supposed to process that into their relationship?

All the privileged people in this thread who also belong to sketchy organizations want those associations not to mean anything, necessarily. But they do. That's on you, not me or OP. Stop putting it on OP to be watchful. You already told her who you are by paying money to that group. The end!

I have friends at the creepiest scariest pro trump anti abortion anti gay brainwashing school in the region (The Heights) and the kid has said some dumb things he learned from other students but the parents set him straight quick. They don’t impose their values in people, are super inclusive, non judgmental and embody the spirit of Christ loving all people not the right wing twisting of using Christianity to bash and exclude. U less they show you otherwise, it’s silly to freeze out their kids.
