Maybe just everyone else right and you are wrong and it has nothing to do with Catholicism and bigotry but more with your little girl stomping of your feet and getting upset with us when we don't agree. Most of us will never agree that Notre Dame is right up there as an Ivy but when you claim that and are challenged you offer no citations except some irrelevant statistic about endowments. Then when challenged again you default to “Oh just stop!” (I can hear the stomping of feet). Then you make another unsupportable bizarre assertion about Notre Dame having a “national brand virtually unmatched in higher education”. Oh really? That’s quite a claim! And without any supporting documentation! Then you cry “It’s not going anywhere” (more stomping of feet) “because I say so!” then the childish “oh you are all bad people because you hate Catholics” then calling us “laughable”. Maybe the problem is you and the infantile way you try to argue. Well, I’d say more but it’s getting late so tah dah for now!

LOL
It has not been falling. In fact, it's the opposite.
The biggest factor in this business is $$$ as in any other business.
ND is #7 in Endowment ranking.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colleges_and_universities_in_the_United_States_by_endowment
Only Harvard, MIT, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, and UPenn are better than ND.
You can see the huge correlation between the endowment ranking and USN&WR college ranking.
It'll only go up. People are clueless LOL
Endowment has nothing to do with rankings or desirability
You are naive if you believe endowment has nothing to do with college rankings.
For the many Duke folks here on DCUM, Notre Dame really is like the football Duke! Students feel a real sense of community.

Where are you getting 18% from? It’s definitely lower. The acceptance rates from last year at top schools show Notre Dame is on par with many of the best colleges.
Schools significantly more selective than Notre Dame:
Harvard (3%)
Stanford (4%)
Caltech (4%)
Columbia (4%)
MIT (4%)
Duke (5%)
Yale (5%)
Brown (5%)
Princeton (6%)
UPenn (6%)
Dartmouth (6%)
Vanderbilt (6%)
Northwestern (7%)
Cornell (7%)
John’s Hopkins (7%)
Notre Dame’s Peer Group Acceptance Rates:
Rice (9%)
UCLA (9%)
Tufts (10%)
WashU (11%)
Carnegie Mellon (11%)
Berkeley (11%)
Georgetown (12%)
Notre Dame (13%)
Emory (16%)
UNC (17%)
Georgia Tech (17%)
UMich (18%)
No horse in this race but I think this basically reaffirms my existing impression. Ivies, Stanford, MIT, Duke, etc. are still in a different league than Notre Dame, and instead their peer set is more like WashU, Georgetown, and Emory. Those are great schools too but not quite the level of the first grouping.
You could easily put Cornell, Vandy, Northwestern in the second grouping.
Cornell, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Georgetown and Notre Dame are all a tier above WUSTL and Emory.

That's a huge lie. Emory business is better WashU, ND, Georgetown, and Vandy. WashU medicine is better than all of them. And they're all ranked around the same.
Totally Wrong.
ND and GT business are a level up from Emory.
No they aren't.

Dummy...this is a graduate school ranking.
You're calling the wrong person dumb, because you lack comprehension skills. Reread my post again.
What did I miss? There has been no discussion here about graduate school. Here is the thread I responded to. You mentioned medicine, but that doesn't change the fact that we are talking about undergraduate programs. God you are desperate.
You missed when I clearly mentioned WashU medicine. That should have clued you in to what I was talking about. IE the entire university.
Well for one thing, ND doesn't have a medical school and this is an ND thread. So your "clue" didn't make sense.
It did make sense because PPs original comment mention 4 other schools being better than WashU, which do have med schools. Again you and the other ND booster lack comprehension skills. Must be a catholic thing.

It has much more of a national reputation. I grew up on the west coast and only in CA did people even know Emory.
More people know UAlabama as well. Happy for ND. I guess Emory can join the likes of the unknown Rice, WashU, Swarthmore, Amherst, Middlebury etc.
What is UAlabama known for?
Football
So is Notre Dame. BD boosters really think ND is known fir it's academics, just delusional.
