Do you hire teen shef girls who have boyfriends, talk on the phone for hours to their friends, and self absorbed? Teen age boys, rarely, do any of these.

I would think that this is the prime age to teach your son's about children and child care.

Why would he be “upset the parents didn’t go out”? What difference would it make if it was an at home party it’s still a job. Again your son gives creep vibes I wouldn’t want him watching my or any children.

Reading thread…my DH was molested by his female babysitter.
It goes both ways. I agree with the pp says this is why so many women complain about lack of help from husbands. We can’t put genders against each other and boldly stereotype and then hope for the best when men and women marry.

The one place where “manny”s or male sitters are common is college towns. Maybe because many are students in some way or university affiliates or because academics are more progressive than other professions? Even 30 years ago when I was a kid this was true when we were in college towns.

I have a boy and a girl that are 2.5 years apart (they are teens now so we dont need sitetrs anymore). They were always into minecraft and roblox and other online games and I wanted babysitters who could play those with them. Generally this was all boys. I think they made great sitters!
