Yes- to get back to OP.
I know there are times when I finish something savory and instantly want something sweet and v.v.
I'm trying to pay attention to these times--not only to sip water and let that craving pass, but primarily to see what I'm eating that triggers that dangerous craving and cut it out of my life. I'm sick of foods having these addictive and tricky qualities.

This morning I made an "omelette" with egg beater, heavy cream and a ton of parsley. Only ate half and had no cravings. That one is a keeper. Minimally processed, real food.

Well, duh. Heavy cream is tons of fat. Of course you're sated! I would personally cut back some of the heavy cream and add back in the egg yolk.

I was sick quite a bit from the food in Italy (I struggle with dairy). That’s one way to be thinner I guess.

People are creatures of habit. When you are at your own house, you typically eat similar foods and similar times of similar amounts day in and day out With similar activity.

When you go on vacation, your typical foods and eating schedule is upended, as is the activity you do. It isn’t accurate to make any blanket statement on food in a country you are eating while on vacation
