She looks extremely stupid. Those sunglasses look ridiculous and her pants don’t look any better now than they did in the late 80s.

She would look great but the sunglasses are distracting. The baggy elephant leg jeans work well for her. Kim can pull the Balenciaga sunglasses off, Nicole cannot. It should be noted that Kim is in her 40s so she is not “young.”

It’s literally the exact same look Grece’s wearing. She looks great. Although I do agree, the sunglasses are not flattering.

I like the body suit with the baggy jeans. This is a very 1990 look.

The book is on! Love it. However, she needs to ditch the Balenciaga bag immediately.

She’s wearing Loewe and her belt and bag is Bottega. I don’t see any Balenciaga, unless you’re referring to other posts which I have not looked at.

This looks the least high fashion.
But she is the one that makes everything looking elevated.

It’s actually fashionable right now, but you need some height to pull it off. I also think she looks older than 55. Her off the shoulder dress look doesn’t feel right to me, but I think the purpose is to show her décolletage and shoulders which happen to be in excellent condition. Also the black velvet pant suit is a purposeful intro to the mesh belly baring bodysuit underneath. So she’s trying to prove she’s fairly tight for a woman her age. Ok, more power to her. Mid 50s in my circle look pretty damn good these days. She looks older than mid 50s, albeit attractive.

I think she looks just fine. I think the question OP asked is more about whether or not women in our 50s are allowed to wear high fashion clothing where is it was taboo historically. These women listed in this thread, as well as many others, are examples that you can embrace fashion your entire life, and you don’t need to “dress your age” because others tell us to.

?? Women in their 50s were NEVER not allowed to wear high fashion clothing and it was never taboo for them. I don't know how you got this idea.

Who cares about age?? If you enjoy hi fashion, when you’re young, you can enjoy it when you’re older, too.

I think people are confusing high fashion with street fashion here. There's a gray area, but high fashion has been always good for older women. Street fashion? Chasing teen trends? That's a little dicier. When street style starting influencing brands it's changed a bit. Personally, as I've gotten older the kind of ways I'd like to be described has changed a bit. Sophisticated, elegant, beautiful, etc. vs on the cutting edge of teen culture/early 20s street culture.

Yeah, but ironically it’s women in their 50s that can afford the Loewe jeans Grece’s wearing, not teens.
