The way they show daemon grabbing R’s face and secretly talking I had assumed someone was beating him up or protecting the princess.

First thought he knew the Daemon trust rumors and saw them discussing a marriage for themselves and rushed in to stop that.

As the room cleared it was the gay lover getting punched, after boldly accusing Criston of being the princess’ whore lover just based on him looking around the room.

And wtf did Criston confess, did he not hear the brothel rumors?

And are we supposed to believe they kept on sleeping together after that first time hence the Run Away With Me pitch made more sense? He certainly put it on the line. And she constantly talked about not getting married and not doing roles.

Why did Criston Cole snap like that? He would have known Rhaenyra is a princess and he’s just a knight, so she’s not going to run away with him. And why is Alicent so bothered by Rhaenyra not telling her about her sleeping with Criston? She used to be Rhaenyra’s friend and sneakily married her father, the king?!

So tonight’s episode was nuts!! Did NOT envision Ser Criston as a rage killer! Daemon shouldn’t have surprised me but yet I still didn’t want him to kill the wife either. Jesus this one was bloody.

Uncle took her a scary new place where she didn’t know anyone plus naked orgies staring at her AND he removed her disguise hat and cast it away. Very premeditated


Yet neither are rape.

Rhaenyra looks like a dishrag with limp hair, ill-fitting dresses, no makeup. Her dresses were killing me. They are also bad colors for her. One thing I really liked - even though it was sad - about this episode is the theme that princesses and queens are really just women trapped in castles for the purpose of birthing heirs. Brings home how little agency Allicent has and why Rhaenyra isn't eager to marry.

Also, we knew the King was sick but gott damm, what does he have? That bedroom scene with Allicent was horrific with all the black splotches on his back, and then when he confronts Damon or The Hand (can't remember which) his hand is all black and shriveled.


I think either his thrown was poisoned (he pricked his finger on it in the first or second episode). Or it’s a crazy bacterial infection from that finger slice.


I thought I saw somewhere that the actor playing Viserys confirmed it was a form of leprosy.

Maybe run to Los Angeles and make some multimedia content.
