Why? And you can't rip pages out of composition books easily. It messes up the whole universe!
I would suggest that teachers like the composition books precisely because the pages don't rip out so easily. Nevertheless, that is an extremely unappealing characteristic for the kids and parents left with the collection of unused/barely used books and there is not one single other appealing aspect to them.
