Elrich had been relying on mail in votes cast before the polls shifted last month. Those were the ones that trended in his direction, while mail in votes made closer to the election would be like the early vote, which was decisively in Blair’s direction. Saturday’s votes broke marginally for Blair which suggests the trend has already shifted. So unfortunately for Elrich, only about 10,000 votes were made early enough to favor him while the remaining 50,000 will be more for Blair. Add in the provisional ballots, which will mainly be Republicans and Independents switching to Democrat, just to vote for Blair…. Elrich will be toast. It’s just a matter of days. I think if Blair pulls ahead in today’s count, it will be over.
You're suggesting that the mail-in ballots are counted in the order they were received, but I don't think we know that that is what's happening.

Will ballots be counted in the order they are received through the mail or ballot drop boxes?
It’s uncertain. Naimon and Zelaya said they don’t have any way of knowing when ballots were received.

True, but I think it's LIFO not FIFO.
DH dropped off his ballot before me, but I got the confirmation email before him.

It’s almost like the most the most aggressive posters are probably Riemer voters themselves trying to will a Blair victory into existence in order to absolve themselves of their misguided decision.

So they are going through the first mail in batch. 34,000 I think? Those came in before early voting. On Wednesday, they do provisionals. Which occurred during early voting and election day. Then on Friday they do batch 2 of those which are at least 27,000. Overwhelmingly they came in a ballot boxes during early voting. Some people think that batch 2 will mirror early voting totals, which heavily favored Blair.
