I can taste the bitterness through the screen. Who wouldn't expect to get into Tulane and NYU after getting into UCLA and Emory? Tulane and NYU will never be elite, they're known for yield protection, especially Tulane. Emory sits pretty in the top 25 with its 11% acceptance rate. Let's see if you or your DC could get in...

And Scripps and Oxy are TOTALLY different kinds of schools than the huge state schools that are Cal and UCLA. So this question wasn’t for your opinion on rankings (which I already know, thanks) but where the PPs child landed.
