Students from adjacent schools like Walter Johnson, Einstein, and BCC.
You keep posting this misinformation. It's been clearly stated for years now that Woodward is being reopened to relieve overcrowding at WJ and the DCC high schools.
The misuse of "misinformation," and overuse, is like nails on a chalkboard. Please write better, for example: "That's not correct." Misinformation denotes a malicious intent to trick people into believing falsities. It's different than just being wrong.
Yes, by shifting students from BCC to the new Woodward they can extend BCC's boundary eastward to reduce overcrowding at its adjacent DCC schools. It's not hard to understand.
The only DCC school remotely adjacent to BCC is Blair. Blair is overcrowded, but relieving the overcrowding there is the point of the expansion and renovation of Northwood. Einstein is also severely overcrowded, and moving kids out of BCC into Woodward does nothing to alleviate that overcrowding.
That's not true, because BCC and Einstein share a miles-long boundary line stretching from East-West Highway up to Kensington.
It would make sense to relieve overcrowding from all sides when possible.
Oddly, the MCPS CIP has BCC below capacity for the next decade or so. I imagine that's why the BoE isn't trying to "relieve overcrowding" there. Whereas today, WJ is more than 500 kids over and the DCC is around 1000 over.
But don't let facts get in the way.
And how would you relieve “overcrowding” at BCC by moving some of their students to Woodward while also taking students from the Einstein feeders?

But why would they do that, when BCC is not part of the Woodward plan, because the only schools in the plan are WJ and the DCC schools?
