Why are you so set on this? So immigrants to the US - American history doesn’t belong to them? Tell that to the thousands of immigrants who have fought and died for this country. Oh, but they’re not “ethnically” American, so it doesn’t count!
Also- Being of Ashkenazi descent is not the only way to be Jewish, “ethnically”’or otherwise. Tell that to those of Sephardic descent, Mitzrahi descent, as well as those who are descended from people who converted many generations ago (and are not white / Ashkenazi). But that’s ok, keep harping on white “ethnic Jews.” Omg, I hope you do not belong to my temple, but I’m sure there are your kind there.

How can your kids be Jewish if you are not? Have you heard of the halacha
I would be more impressed if you were not so submissive
DP. Patrilineal Jews are considered Jewish by the Reform movement as long as they are raised Jewish.
+1 pp is arguing in bad faith if he or she doesn’t know this. And just because she doesn’t consider them Jewish doesn’t mean others don’t.
Or, pp is not Reform.
Even if PP is not reform and does not consider Jewish people of patrilineal lineage Jewish, surely he or she must have a smattering of knowledge of different branches of Judaism to see why others would. He or she is lashing out and just taking cheap shots at others.

If I had read this thread first I would have run for the hills!
It is always the woman who is expected to convert.
Imagine if your boyfriend had converted to your faith
Or perhaps you cannot imagine that. Only Chelsea's Clinton has not been pressured to convert. Ivanka was
My FIL converted to Judaism for my MIL.
My mother did not convert from the religion she was raised in, but fully participated in raising my sister and me Jewish, along with my Jewish dad.
But sure. Let’s go with your theory.
Do you know of a woman who has not converted or who married but is not raising kids Jewish

Miserable? We’re far from miserable! Try eating matzoh ball soup and being miserable — it’s impossible!![]()
