So, this article says they announced the split in November 2020, but that they "revealed" they had actually broke off their engagement at the beginning of 2020.

The client very rarely has any say on how papers are served. Client hires a lawyer. Lawyer chooses the process server. Process server usually decides how to serve papers--though it's more likely a lawyer will give instructions than it is that a client will.
Celebrities can be hard to serve. They move around a lot. They have bodyguards. They live in gated communities or buildings with doormen and elevators with fob keys that stop you from even getting to the floor where their apartment is located unless you have the key.
So, they are often served at public events because the process server knows where and when they will be somewhere and can get up close.
It's unlikely that JS knew how she would be served before she was served.

I still think Jason cheated on Olivia while filming Ted Lasso. She found out after he came home which would explain why they were so chummy at the beach. He either was talking on the phone or getting texts from Juno (Keely) and Olivia dumped him quickly. I just don’t see Harry having that fast of an affect on her to dump Jason that quickly.
Of course it could have been the other way and when Jason came home he found out about her and Harry. If this is true, then why is Harry not getting some heat for going after a woman who was spoken for?
I agree. Their break up is on him and he knows it. He has a reputation as an ass and that "neighbor" that knows him doesn't know him much at all.

Ask Demi Moore. She was right around 50 when Ashton left. (Although that was a 15 year age gap, and I think these two are only a 10 year age gap.)
I'm a 50 year old woman -- I think woman have a sharp aging increase in their late 40s and early 50s where a younger man could be unhappy with the changes. Then men have a sharp aging curve at late 60s, where a younger woman suddenly realizes that she has become a nurse and is going to lose the last few decades of her life to be active taking care of a really elderly man. That's just my impression from seeing how these relationships often play out. The difference between a 40 and a 30 year old isn't that great, because they are both generally grown ups in pretty good physical health, but the differences can be more challenging when people end up in different life phases.

+1 and servers are brutal. They will pick a place and time they know you will definitely be and they really don't care about optics or public opinion.
I'm not entirely certain this lies on Jason. But, man she has quite a cheating history.
She claims the event had high security which required COVID testing days before with a badge saying negative. The server could not just walk in on her. Maybe true Jason is immature in arguments and why she left him.
