Jack Nicholson always plays a dramatic character as well. He's the epitome of a dramatic man on the screen at least. I don't know anything about his personal life. And now he has memory loss. Another issue with men. They just go downhill more quickly and need women to nurse them. Another form of not being reasonable or accountable.
In a quick view of his private life seems to have more drama as well.
In his private life, Nicholson is notorious for his inability to "settle down," with a place on Maxim's "Top 10 Living Legends of Sex" list.

In fact he created drama that entire movie. Finally he had to realize it was him that needed to change. He needed to stop with the drama and be less dramatic and more accountable and reasonable and reasoning. Guess you missed what that movie was all about.

In reality Helen Hunt's character was the only one with reason and accountability and it was Jack Nicholson that actually had to grow those traits.

This is the truest statement about women I have ever seen. Yes, while they’re meticulous with planning kids things usually and do a lot and all
The other incredible things said on this thread that they do, which is all true, they also are just less emotionally consistent than men. As you get older you want someone who isn’t going to fly off the handle at a moments notice. Men are just more emotional consistent, less volatile and more “okay” with things than women are. We’re less pithy and scornful and generally don’t harbor grudges. Women’s emotional temperament is so up and down. So go ahead and throw out all the jabs of sexism you want, but you know it’s true. Men are more chill, more decisive and less prone to emotionally based decisions or arguments.
So once you reach a certain age you just seek attractiveness, humor, willingness to have sex, and all that stuff, but mainly you want someone who can just be as emotionally consistent as possible.
Yeah that man in that movie was such a winner compared to Helen Hunt. It's men like Jack Nicholson's character that spend their days dreaming in their heads or books they write about women fawning all over them for probably amazing men in their head but call women to their face "elephant woman" and in real life need special food and non cracked sidewalks to survive. The complete opposite of the men in their heads and books.

I’m a guy, and I do the majority of the chores and the childcare. It’s no big deal so quit acting like it is.
“The mental load” is imaginary garbage and you getting yourself overwrought about things that aren’t worth caring about, and if you’re all stressed out about it that’s on you, it’s not a failure on my part.
My DH also does a majority of chores and childcare; however, I can see that this is a significant amount of effort. Who are you to be telling people what they should and should not care about?
