Dr. Stacy Ashton at Burnt Mills. She's been there for a while now (there used to be a revolving door of leadership there), they have a new building opening up this school year, and she's just made the whole community so much more engaged than when I was there. It genuinely seems to be a place where people want to go to everyday.

She's very polished and great at community relations.

Although not a reflection on the principal, I felt I had to supplement, since any kid reading at or above grade level mostly gets ignored.

So good to know! We are thinking of moving to the district and had heard good things about Flora Singer generally. A good friend isn't loving Oakland Terrace, which surprises me.


Are you willing to share what your friend dislikes about OTES? Just curious since DC is headed there next year.

So good to know! We are thinking of moving to the district and had heard good things about Flora Singer generally. A good friend isn't loving Oakland Terrace, which surprises me.

Mr Cline at Oak View is fantastic. Same goes for the front office staff and staff development teacher. All around, an incredibly well run school.
