Presumably someone like a manager could ask him to remove his mask and sunglasses to confirm his ID? That seems reasonable for a >10,000 withdrawal. Calling the cops is strange for suspected identity theft.
Agree - walking into a bank dressed like a bank robber probably wasn’t the best idea. LA - winter hat, hoodie, sunglasses.
Literally the bank teller raised the alarm. He handed her the note, his ID, and asked if that was going to be OK. She said yes, acknowledging that his request was OK. He inserted his card into the chip reader and she started the transaction. If he had done anything wrong it never would have even gotten that far. She would have taken the note directly to her boss. Instead, she saw the alert on her screen and made a leap to assume this was a robbery.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yes, they are racists posting her. The teller, bank manager and cops were also black.
Just because people are black doesn't mean they have biases against people in their race..
There's more violence with black on black. Still this wasn't about race.
This was about his actions which raised the alarm.

what are you talking about? He already spoke out about it. He's working on the new Black Panther movie, what do you want him to do stop production and go on a speaking tour about this? You people are unbelievable.Anonymous wrote:Poor Ryan. He's been pretty quiet, I'll bet his friends that were waiting for him were like, "No dude you don't pass a hand written note to a teller".

Yes it was nothing to do with race. His entire MO was what bank robbers do. Her boss I believe called 911 so they all thought he was a robber. Not just the teller.

Usually withdrawal slips are not used for such high amounts. You request to speak to the bank manager about the account and go to a private office.
THIS + a million. We have been in this situation before. When you are a high net worth client you don’t deal with tellers.
