I am pretty sure the medicine comment is not about their clothes, but about their blatant disregard for the health/medical guidance of their school district and the CDC.

Two of our children attend very selective colleges and their classmates are absolutely NOT dressed like bums. David Brooks teaches part-time at Yale and writes the casually cool and polished kids all look like they're ready for a job interview at any moment.

It's nasty and slovenly. My teen daughter wears real clothes with real waistbands and form. She likes to look nice, cute, and well put-together. She abhors sweats and never wears them; not even to the gym. I see quite a few teens that dress like her but also a lot who dress like slobs. Yuck!
