Does anyone remember the diner that was where the Apple Store is? I think it was Boogies? I would go there often, somewhere I have a t-shirt. And if we're branching out into Foggy Bottom, did anyone else go to Mr Henry's in the early 90s? Run by the two brothers? I'm pretty sure it was where the Founding Farmers is now. They "carded" but I clearly remember bringing my boyfriend's 16yo cousin there back in the day.

It’s not there anymore? I used to work at the WB and we lived in Rosslyn so I would walk home and my then-DH would wait for me there and we would walk together from there on. He stopped meeting me there pretty soon though - didn’t want to walk across the bridge. I think I started taking the bus too, but I did walk to Georgetown.

I think it's a Nike store now.

Swensens ice cream and an ice cream Place called the Parlor that had little tables outside and served ice cream in fancy cups
Powder and smoke perfume shop
Old Mexico clothing- you’d walk through a iron gate into a back building
Bliss- a jewelry store that used to hirecteenagers to hand out fliers on 1/4 pages
Georgetown pharmacy across from Pied de cochon- the nicest old Pharmacist named Doc- my mom called him at home one morning when there was an emergency with medicine and he met her at The pharmacy to refill
Yes natural foods- getting watermelon juice at the juice bar

M street
The market house which was where dean and Deluca took over- chocolate chip cookie stand, pizza place up on 2nd floor
Georgetown Park mall was so fancy and modern!
The urban outfitters used to be a woolworths that had live birds for sale on the lower level
I miss old Georgetown. Makes me so nostalgic for my childhood

I can't believe I didn't see mention of Kemp Mill Records! We used to buy our concert tickets there. One time Eddie Murphy was signing albums there and I nearly got killed in a crowd crush.

There are very few posts about getting drunk in high school uniform. In fact, yours is the first, I think. We can feel nostalgic about old Georgetown shopping and hanging out without longing for the days when we were sexually harassed and date raped.
