Are all other schools do the same?
Do you think 2 3-layers masks are easier for little kids than KN95 masks?
Anonymous wrote:OP I’m with you. This is craziness. Just say no. If we aren’t forcing adults to why should we force kids.

And if families refuse to comply, they should homeschool this winter and spend that time looking at other schools or enroll in their local public school. The contracts for the 2021-22 school year will be out soon, and I imagine that Beauvoir could easily find another family who would be happy to take the spot of anyone who refuses to comply. Call the bluff of those who complain. They won't be going anywhere.
Yeah, you guys are single handedly ending the pandemic by making 5 year olds wear N95s all day at their $40K per year kindergarten. Congratulations. You win the most virtuous signaling.

I’m tired of adults asking kids to do things most of them won’t do themselves while they wfh. It will be tough on teachers but teachers get breaks throughout the day during which I’m quite sure they’ll remove their masks. We’re asking little kids to wear these masks literally all day without breaks. At some point we need to figure out a better solution. I know very few adults making the same sacrifices we’re asking kids to make and it’s beginning to feel abusive.
Teacher here - we don’t get breaks ask you think we do, especially during COVID. We have a 30 minute buddy break so we can eat lunch, which usually ends up being 20 minutes if we are lucky with the transitions built in. We can’t remove our masks unless eating or drinking - just like the kids. Stop trying to make a story that isn’t.
Not making a story. Acknowledging that it’s hard for teachers too but at least teachers have breaks. Not sure what grade or subject you teach, but most lower school teachers have breaks (time alone) when their students are in specials. They may be doing prep during that time but they can still take the opportunity to remove their masks if alone. As I said before, I know very few adults actually doing the things we’re asking of little children. If you happen to be one of those few adults than good for you—I guess.

It’s ridiculous
