Not really this except to the extent a “regular” place has the best snow, the best weather, great restaurants, privacy, etc. I will agree the truly elite don’t follow crowds or go to some place just because but I know they pursue premium experiences. There are just some places that have better weather, facilities, service etc. That is where the elite ends up. There is a reason B.Mellon spent her 100th birthday on Nantucket even though she had properties all over the place, including on the Cape.

Fascinating. I can’t even fathom this wealth. I would like to think even with that level of money my tastes would still be rather plebeian.

There is a similar thing going on in Nantucket. Old old money in the same house for 100 years kind of thing.

I have counted as many as 40 g-5’s (and 6’s and 650s as well as Citation Xs) at Ackerman Field in the summer. Mill Reef also gets the nod as well as Jackson, Vail, and Fishers Island. There are similar places throughout the world.
