Virginia is sunk. Get out while you can!
Nope. The old VA trash is dying off and all of the educated people who’ve moved in over the last few decades are taking over. Plus, a steady stream of new liberals c/o Amazon and incoming new tech/law grads.
Tick tock. It’s just a matter of time.
It will go even faster if Youngkin tries to push any of the current GOP insanity.
It was the tech people in Loudoun who supported Youngkin.
LOL. No, it wasn’t the “tech people”.
Lots of Asian Indian tech people in Loudoun, and we supported Youngkin. We want schools that educate our kids not ones that make them feel bad about our accomplishments.
Oh, I know the type. They are the exception.
Most suburban, educated people supported McAuliffe. And don’t believe the GOP lies about CRT, etc.

If yiu can’t afford a house in Virginia, that’s fine. No need to make up a story of why yo have to move to the cheap seats in MoCo. Just be aware that a lot of your higher taxes will be supporting hillbillies in Western Maryland
Hopefully the trashy western part of the state and the eastern shore (which is basically the same) will secede and form their own trash states, and be left behind by the far more successful central Maryland area, with progressive politics and polices.

The take is: Youngkin may have backed away from Trump, but it's the billionaires and elites that run the GOP that are setting up the plan to steal the 2024 election, not Trump. It's the party that's designing gerrymanders to assure white Christian authoritarian minority rule. And the guy made the case that Youngkin embraced all that -- Youngkin took the money from Koch and Heritage billionaires and the GOP corporate interests and the gun companies and fossil fuel companies.
I am not sure if Youngkin himself is an authoritarian. To me he seems more like a dim, born-advantaged private equity guy who might not fully know what the GOP stands for today.
I don't fully see voting for Youngkin as embracing authoritarianism and helping to further climate disaster that will impact our kids future.
My kids will have the chance to get an abortion in VA or MD or another blue state.
Is Youngkin really a step to taking that away?
Op if your greatest concern for your daughters is where they will be able to get abortions, you have totally failed as a parent.
Because women only need abortions if they are immoral sluts, amirite?
About 1% of women need abortions because they conceived a child with a problem. About 1%of women need abortions because of rape or incest. The rest are not immoral sluts but immature women who do not take responsibility for their bodies. These women should not be having children, so it is good that they are availing themselves of abortions. This is why I am pro-choice and will always support abortion rights.
