Oh please, fastest way to escalate anything is by cursing. There are many ways to tell someone to be quiet without cursing. Those who do have no interest in deescalating the issue and are just looking for a fight fueled by what they consider to be their righteous indignation.

If anyone on our team that criticizes my boys during their youth soccer games, they would have to deal with my husband who is 6’6” 270 lbs and former D1 football player. There are many games that their uncles would attend who are as equally large and strong. It’s interesting that no parents ever criticize my boys back then even though they were late bloomers/growth spurts. I don’t know if the other parents were just decent human beings or were just too scared to piss off my husband.

Lady you would be surprised how many people pack heat and are not afraid to use it thats a huge equalizer to 6'6" 270lbs

As a grandfather, he had ZERO tolerance for sideline coaching at his grandsons' games. I still remember when I as a field marshall at a tournament and there was all kinds of commotion on one of the fields...and my husband (also field marshall) said he had to interject because my 76-year old father told some obnoxious a-hole parent screaming directions to the players "Hey Pal, Coaches sit over there" as he pointed across the field to the team bench. My dad was ready to come to blows with the guy. I miss him .

Who gives a S if you played D1. What does that have to do with anything? STFU with trying to make you sound like your opinion matters more than anyone elses.

More educated opinions should matter more.

I don’t think she’s in the minority, my kids are that age and a bit older and they would be in huge trouble if they talked to anyone that way. I can understand cursing at ur self under your breath but what the hell are we teaching kids if it’s ok to talk to others like that?
