I guess you have John HanCOCK to thank for your access to the American Dream. You really must be one of the densest OPs in years to post here. For the other sheltered one above, yes, Regina rhymes with vagina.
What? No it does not.
the "i" in Regina makes an "ee" sound
The "i" in Vagina makes an "eye" (rhymes with pie or high) sound
I’m starting to doubt the intelligence of DCUM posters bc Regina and Vagina aren’t even slant rhymes.
In Latin “Regina” (queen) rhymes with “vagina.”
I took four years of Latin at Harvard, and I can assure you "regina" does not rhyme with "vagina."
None of that matters. What matters is how Canadians pronounce it since this is a thread about vulgar or naughty place names, and we're talking about the capital of Saskatchewan.
Good grief, people. Stay on point.

Do OP's parents speak Latin as their primary language?
No but if they are from Goa, they may have learned enough Latin at their Catholic school to know the pronunciation.

come on, you dont need to go back to Julius Caesar, Regina and vagina are two Italian words. they have the same ending but nobody in Italy would laugh if a street is called "Via Regina" because they have different meaning and nobody would think of the vagina when they read the word for "queen".
