It's all a big sideshow. The real show is where Elon Musk and the other oligarchs are raiding the Treasury and making themselves richer at our expense. It's not enough for him to be the richest man in the world. He wants our money too.

Now they are setting up a system where illegal immigrants must register to be fingerprinted.

Of course they won't register, but now they are in violation of section 266 of INA.
Sanctuary jurisdictions won't just be ignoring ICE, they would be ignoring the US Marshals picking up a fugitive who has committed a federal crime, not just a civil violation.

If your first sentence is true, that would mean Trump also ignored these laws during his first administration.

Meanwhile, grocery bills are through the roof. Maybe ICE employees should make themselves useful and pick us some produce.

Trump implemented part of this in 2020, but Mayorkas came in and canceled it.

No laws have been ignored for decades. That's a right wing rally cry, and as usual BS.

First, this is going to take years to construct, and will line government contractors pockets with the overhead. Second, US citizens will be responsible for housing, food and transportation costs during the time period for adjudication. It seems like this set up is aimed to further privatize the deportation process at an enormous expense to American taxpayers.

Why is this more viable than having immigrants work while awaiting adjudication? Increase tracking capabilities and require employers of immigrants to maintain information on them. It will cost a fraction of the money used to construct and maintain these facilities.

How would they work, would that be like a chain gang or something? Maybe they could be put to work building the detention facilities and building a wall.

The illegal immigrants have thrown away the free cell phones they were given at the border. The cell phones have tracking devices and the illegal immigrants had to take their photo once a month and it was uploaded to ice.

Buckle up for this one.

NEW: ICE Boston has arrested a Guatemalan illegal alien charged w/ multiple counts of aggravated & forcible child rape in MA after ICE says their detainer request was ignored by the Essex County Superior Court due to sanctuary policy & he was released into the community on bail.

ICE found and arrested him in Framingham, MA, and he remains in federal custody.

ICE statement:

“Jose Fernando-Perez has been charged with some horrific crimes against a minor in our commonwealth,” said ICE Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. “He is exactly the type of alien we are targeting with our ‘worst first’ policy. He posed a significant danger to the children of Massachusetts, and we will not tolerate such a threat to our community. ICE Boston will continue to prioritize the safety of our public by arresting and removing egregious alien offenders from our New England communities.”

Why do Democrats want more criminals?

New research from the Urban Institute shows that mass deportations would likely worsen the housing shortage by decimating the labor force.

Immigrants make up >23% of the construction workforce & more in FL, TX. About half are estimated to be undocumented immigrants.

They seem to forget that illegal immigrants live somewhere.

Too bad Florida and Texas. As long as some libs are somehow, somewhere negatively affected, it is worth it. I guess. Is it?

DP. For the thousandth time, Biden was deporting people already in custody and in detention facilities, of which there was a steady supply due to Biden policies. Of course, many more were just released into the country.

Now that “easy” stream has dried up due to Trump reversing those policies and implementing new policies that have decreased the numbers entering to a trickle.

Arresting and deporting those already in the country and not detained is a whole different ball game requiring a wholly different set of resources.
