I hear it’s generally 50/50 since their concern is not about the record. Good for development and they will be seen by the girls’ coach/school of interest especially when they are watching.
It will be interesting to see if this holds true for Capital for 2028's this summer. They are not in the top 2 brackets for the tournaments that matter due to their ranking. It is a delicate balance for coaches to give equal playing time but also be competitive in games so that the team is in the top brackets where most coaches will be watching. Capital is still a good brand name and coaches go to lower brackets to see players they are interested in, but if equal playing time will cause the team to fall further in the rankings they may have to reconsider.
Not in the top bracket…downhill from there. All of the Capital cheerleaders have been screaming about college recruiting and A brackets. Now you are saying they are in the B bracket and the next person says “who cares, nobody is looking”. The excuses just don’t stop, it is comical at this point.

Every player would generally expect to play approximately half the game when there is a full roster.
How do other programs handle this? Most programs don't do half game play time for middle school but wondering if that changes for most or all programs for high school. Maybe won-loss record and rankings are important for programs in middle school --crazy as that sounds since the goal is for the girls to develop--but college placements are more important for club programs in high school?

Literally no one would talk about Capital re: any of this if Capital folks didn't continuously troll an 8th grade team and their families. As you are doing.Anonymous wrote:Here is the reality, there are a few parents trying to frame the situation that this team is staying together. It’s not fact. Same thing happened at 28 level at first with Pride. If you actually speak with a bunch of the 29 parents in person and not on this weak ass forum, then you would know majority of team will be at Capital tryouts. Believe me don’t believe me. I could care two sh&ts. Do what you think is right for your daughter. My kid is on capital and I could honestly care less if your kid decides to try out or not. But stop trying to write the narrative and crap on Capital teams.
