Because these Duggar apologists are making me really sick to my stomach.

that is wrong.
There are all sorts of a ways a person can get counseled and grow and learn.

The DUGGARs do not support child molestation.
Why do you claim that they do?
the answer is: you hate them and their values and their religion.
Which is unfair and mean.

I work in social services. I am not impressed with professional "child counseling."
I think religious counseling can be just as effective, esp. for a religious family. This is why many people seek out the advice of their pastors and religious leaders, etc.
By the way, I am not religious, but I think a lot of psychology is bunk...We are all human. the Duggars got someone to talk to Josh. He had daily counseling in the form of his religion.
Again, how many ways are there to say to him: "Josh, this was wrong; it was harmful; don't do it again." he has learned this lesson over and over and over.
Why does he need a PHD person to give him this lesson? why not a pastor? Same Diff really and truly. and because he is religious and so is his family, the religious moral lesson will probably stick with him.
I sort of agree with you, that a non-professional could give him reasonably effective counseling. But nobody said to him, from a counselor, "Josh, this was wrong; it was harmful; don't do it again." While the methods of dealing with these problems by the ATI have been previously posted, it's not clear that Josh received any of these. In the police report, Michelle corrected herself and said that he did manual labor instead of counseling. He didn't get any counseling at all, not religious or professional.

It isn't about being Quiverfull, Conservative, or even Liberal. It is about being parents.

Josh has not re-offended. The sisters seem okay. Josh also survived and has a family of his own. What -- he should be thrown in jail for life? Killed? What?
What the heck is it that you all want from this family?
It is as if you are all saying - ha ha ha they are a bunch of idiots and deserve all this.
Bad stuff happens in the best of families.
This family handled it well.
Leave them alone.

I'm guessing some of them might be TLC drones, trying to up support to continue milking their cash cow. There's no way any person with a modicum of ethics can continue supporting the Duggars, how they handled Josh's predatory abuse, and their crazy cult version of Christianity.
