Shocker! Just as she was going on about going to nursing school and her goals.

I bet this was done to confirm her spot to replace Farrah. Oh and the MTV baby bonus.

Taylor is wonderful! He works, he takes care of the kids, he supports his wife. Glad Bentley has a great father figure finally.

Haven’t Jen and Larry (esp Larry) gotten worse over the years?

In the first season, I feel like they were encouraging their son to marry Maci and be a family. I recall Larry taking Ryan out to the gym a number of times and talking to him about – I know it’s hard; but this is being a man; responsibility; being there for your family; it won’t always be like this, the newborn days are the hardest etc. This was when Ryan and Maci were living together and engaged.

I remember Larry inviting some friend over to the house who was a truck driver or maybe owned a driving school – to talk with Ryan about how driving is a good profession; how much it pays etc. And Ryan in his usual laziness was like – nah, I don’t want to – and again Larry was lecturing him about his responsibilities for his son.

IDK what happened in a few seasons ago but I assumed it was when Jen/Larry realized Ryan was using – they kicked him out of the house and he and Larry weren’t on speaking terms and Larry said something about how he wouldn’t piss on him if he were on fire . . . .

And now fast forward – bc Maci doesn’t want to hand over her child to someone who is heroin addicted (or meth – IDK the drug of choice) who apparently did rehab in 3 weeks, won’t provide a drug test, and is drinking – NOW Larry is 100% on his son’s side?! Drinking with Ryan and drunkenly talking about Maci the bitch withholding his grandson bc she’s still sooo into Ryan but one day Bentley will find out the truth about his mother?! WTF!?

I notice Jen keeps her mouth shut while Ryan and Larry are bitching about Maci. I think she realizes that her grandson is being raised fairly well and that’s 100% due to Maci and Taylor, not her druggie son; I think she also is savvy enough to realize that if she bitches out Maci, she loses the relationship with her grandson. BUT I do think she has enabled her loser son since day 1. She knew he couldn’t/would feed, bathe, rock Bentley the right way – so she’d just do it – and that has continued for 9 yrs. Instead of helping her son out and showing him how to care for a child – or frankly forcing him to do it bc it is HIS child, not hers – she jumped right in and took care of everything for him. So now as PP says, all he knows/cares to do is be the big brother – throw the ball around in the yard with him for 10 min; or take him out on a dirt bike; or mock him. Not even useful errands like taking his son shopping for a tux for Ryan’s own wedding!?

+100000 That Larry & Jen created and have enabled this monster for YEARS. And the minute Maci won't play that game, it's all that she's not over him. Some bs!

I have vague memories of Ryan dirtbiking with Bentley. I think at this point Bentley knows what's up and who he can count on.

Then she’d see the series of episodes from age 1-4 where Ryan was all gung ho on having Bentley on the weekends but it was his damn right. Visitation meant – get Bentley; drive back to your (i.e. your parents’) house; hand him to Jen; and then Jen and Larry spent every weekend feeding, bathing, and playing with Bentley to entertain him. Then there was the time where Jen and Larry took Bentley to lunch before his first day of school. Ryan saunters in half way thru lunch, does not say hi to Bentley, makes no conversation with him and basically acts like he’s never seen the child before. He sits and chows down fast bc his parents are paying and the moment he’s done, he gets up and leave with his mom telling him to hug Bentley goodbye; Bentley hugs him as if he’s being made to hug a stranger and meanwhile after Ryan is gone Larry is saying all kinds of obscenities about his son and how he treats his grandson with Jen glaring at him and then pleading with him to shut it bc cameras are around.
I swear the only minimal interest we saw was for that 1-2 yrs before the drug problem kicked in and that’s only bc Bentley started playing sports. So his big brother Ryan at least found that interesting enough so that when he was visiting, he could play in the yard with him; and/or show up to an occasional game.

But it’ll be totally different with your kid Mac, totally . . . he’s seen the error of his ways and will be father of the year.

+100 but Mack sees all this as Maci’s fault, somehow.

I really blame Jen and Larry. I know they are nice and good grandparents but man do they look the other way with Ryans problems. They even drink with him...umm he's an addict??? They really should have gotten him some sort of help when he was a young dad and really tried to get him to father his child. Instead they just did the parenting. They gave him no tools and continue to just let him live his life.

Yeah that made no sense. I do think the new guy seems to be decent, but Matt set a low bar.

I totally get that Matt was in a league of his own with SECRET and MANY children, but it annoys me that everyone in Amber's life asks Andrew about whether he has any kids as if it's okay that she does but him having any would be a deal breaker. So many double standards.

I don't know if it's a double standard. I see that type of question as, we know that at least one person is bringing a kid(s) into this relationship. Is it going to get more complicated than that, with more children being involved. And with Matt's situation of 9 secret kids, that would be the first thing I would ask as well.

New guy SEEMS nice enough, but he has two ex-girlfriends who put out restraining orders against him. One even included her dog in it. So... maybe not so nice.

Hmm. The first thing I’d ask is if he was an addict, liar or sociopath. Then again, if he was like Matt he’d just laugh it off and answer “no” with a straight face. I don’t feel bad for him having to face her brother’s awkward interrogation. Andrew had unprotected sex with someone who was a couple weeks out of a long-term relationship. You reap what you sow.

He also seems like a lump. Doesn't work anymore. He's always just lounging on a bed or couch. How come he never says "Let's go outside and play catch/basketball/whatever." When DH and I didn't have kids we went outside to play all the time. One time he even let me teach him hopscotch. It's super rare for us to just be sitting around doing nothing.

Does anyone else get the impression Andrew is not long for Indiana? Nobody moves from Malibu to Indiana.

I don't see him sticking around Indiana for very long. I think once the baby comes things will start to change and he will want to move back full time to Malibu w/ the baby.
