Not aware of this being a thing in girls lacrosse.
It definitely happens in girls lacrosse. Wait for a USA Lacrosse tournament where the age restrictions are in play. You will see teams with missing key players, or not entering at all, because certain players are too old.
They just don't enter.

BLC probably took a slight step back losing its tall middie to M&D. She fits in perfectly on M&D, who now have size and speed all over the field.
How tall do you think is tall for girls at this age? 5’3”?
For a 2030, tall would be 5’7 or above
That is tall for any age.
The average height for a girl in USA is 5"4.
Ok, but I am just answering your question. There are several girls on M&D, MDU, etc that are well above 5'4, they are what I would identify as "Tall". Not sure what answer you want. 5'3 as a 12 yr old is good height and no doubt tall amongst the peers in a classroom, but there are several that are much taller in high level lax.
Not looking for a specific number. We can all agree that M&D players are taller than the average 2030 lacrosse player.
Yes, and older.
I don’t know any girls on M&D and I’m not trying to disparage any of them, but my impression is that there are a lot of pretty small players but they are almost all very fast.
M&D is huge in terms of height and just size. More than a few. They are just a great team.
Their strength isn’t size or height, it’s speed. They are noticeably faster than their peers. They also have shorter than avg players.
Take a look at who is doing their draws and how they win their draws and tell me their size is not advantage on DC.
They got size and speed.
I think you missed my point. There are certainly tall girls on the team but they are good because they are fast and tall. There are no slow tall girls on the team. MDU has more tall girls but they didn’t appear to be as fast.

This was my impression from looking at their insta feed, lots of small girls who are very fast and highly skilled. Agreed that they are a great team, though they don’t seem exceptionally tall.
They look small on insta but when they step on the field with your girls, that's when you notice their size.
My daughter is 5’6”, we have girls on our 2030 team who are 5’8”. The M&D girls aren’t taller, they are better at playing lacrosse.
I’m looking at team photo on IG now, they got 5-6 that are taller than the female coach. Two things can be true, they are above avg in size and are great at lacrosse
