I think the trial date was set. She has also switched to being represented by public defender. (This is the right choice in DC. DC's public defenders are considered among the best.)
Hoppe has no defense. There is no victim to cross-examine. There are statements Hoppe made online to the under cover FBI agent. There are confessions made by Hoppe to the FBI agent after arrest. There are the items found in the trunk of her car. There are false exculpatory statements made by Hoppe to the FBI after arrest. There are contraband images transmitted by Hoppe to the under cover FBI agent.

In a town I used to live in, a friend of friends (I had not met her yet, or would I have? Who knows?) abused teen boy(s?). A friend of her son came forward. She’s in prison and got more for evidence tampering.

Her family isn’t as prominent as implied online. Her ancestors started a big law firm in Richmond generations ago that her immediate family doesn’t have any part of.
