It was in an old Facebook post back in the day. Way before Tyler. She wrote an apology follow up pretty quickly that she was unintentionally ignorant and insulting. It was like ~ wow, I’ve never seen this before. Isn’t it amazing to see the progress Black people are making ~ type of post. I should’ve kept all her unhinged plane stories and write my own book about them. Kissing a stranger’s baby without permission, sleeping on a random fat person as her personal pillow…

A Jen Hatmaker book about church hurt should be placed in the bookstore next to Jake Tapper’s book about how the media covered up Biden’s decline, and OJ Simpson’s book about how he “would have” killed his wife.

Have not been on her page or on this page in awhile. She looks really good. Got rid of her horrible hairdo. Looks so much better now. But who wants a book about her train wreck life? Who would buy that ?

But maybe there are only a few of us on here. I am dismayed when I see random IG friends of mine liking her posts… She seems to be fooling an awful lot of people!

Poor Remy! Even my parents were kind enough to keep my room somewhat intact for a few years after I left when I graduated college (I lived at home for the last two years and commuted).
Jen has some, ah, misplaced glee about the kids being gone.
I love Gretchen Rubin's take on these years- not the empty nest of yesteryear, but the era of the Open Door. It has a warmth and welcome to it.

I thought the Tyler quote was a swipe from a wannabe Jane, but, no, he really posted that on his IG. And the commenters lack any diversity- all white ladies 30-60.

Can you imagine Jen's friends who pay for expensive European vacations and she brings him along?

Tyler is a one-man minstrel show. Does he have any close black friends? No, because they would call him out on his nonsense.

If her corneaters aren't smart enough to figure out that she's a total fraud by now, cluing them into the fact that someone is royally and succinctly roasting Jen on the regular isn't going to have any impact.

Sadly, many of them don't seem to have figured it out yet. Maybe they don't want to. I was part of a small church plant that was full of Hatmaker women. In the not too distant past, I saw one of them had liked a post of hers.

It's been both encouraging and exasperating to find this forum and see that so many people recognize what an empty, shallow disaster she is. Encouraged because I found others who do see that here. Exasperated because the women I was in church with never seemed to see it. I hope they've caught on by now but I fear that some of them haven't.

Yeah Jen for over a decade has pushed the narrative of Remy being on the spectrum. Maybe she is. Maybe she is (also) traumatized living in such a disorienting family. Remember when Jen posted about being shocked she saw a Black man in first class and had to retract it almost immediately? Notice how any Black acquaintances of hers, remain forever an acquaintance. I’m sure her poor daughter has been exposed to relentless casual racism in that friend and family group while being told that they are the most important and significant all knowing people in her life.

She seems to have a decent relationship with her father and siblings. While Jen's other kids are surely on their way to being as obnoxious as she is, I'm sure the kids care for each other and look out for each other. I can't imagine being adopted internationally, being old enough to have some grasp of what was happening, and then being thrown into that shit show, which just gets more circus-like as the years go on.
