I don’t think your comment is fair based on results. Please tell me how they scored 53 goals during league play without being able to pass and receive.
FYI, the best player on VDA 09s is a FCV import. Both CC and BP developed her and was with them from U12 and up.
If not, just be classy and say, meh, maybe you’re right. Good luck to you and your team. I shouldn’t tear down teenage girls.
Kinda like, I honestly hope VDA is successful this post season, proves me wrong and makes it back to Richmond. Congrats on all of your commits!
This is the most worn out (at least top 5, if not the most) overused "defence" here if a poster has nothing else. These kids want to be "high level", yeah?
If you want to be amongst the best, then expect criticism of how you play. Not everyone is equally good at everything. Some are naturally better at reading a game, think faster, or just physically better. Some work harder to be better.
It does not mean a kid isn't a wonderful human being. It doesn't mean they aren't trying their hardest. They may be a maths genius, or very talented musician or the like. They simply may not be as aren't as good as others in some area of life.
Statements like the bolded part hold people back. It doesn't help or make them better. It's a rec player's mentality. And, for what it's worth, there's nothing wrong with playing rec if that is what someone wants.
Hey, dummy, a parent said CC’s players can’t make a pass or receive a pass. That’s a little hateful isn’t it? Certainly not constructive criticism.
I could absolutely tear down ANY team in the DMV on DD’s age group or around it. That is the difference between me and others here. I choose not too. If someone wants to act like a coward anonymously, nothing wrong with proving them wrong and calling them out for their ignorant comment.
My DD plays on a Rev GA team (not coached by CC). Most of her teammates cannot make or receive a pass. I'm not sharing state secrets here, you can see for yourself 4 nights a week at RavenTek.
By the way, the girls who cannot make or receive a pass are fully aware that they cannot make or receive a pass. This is true not because anyone is telling them, but because they know what happens when the ball hits their feet (especially their weak foot) compared to what happens when it hits some of their teammates' feet. Most of their parents, however, think CC is going to make them the next Emily Fox.
Wrong. Not sure why you don’t understand CC does not coach any teams under U17. And trust me when I say parents know their kid is are not Superstars. Not a single parent thinks that. Not one. The 09 and 08 parents are mostly upset about how CC and the Club has done very little about recruitment. One Advisor quit and seemed more P2P while the new one came too late. While advocacy is not the most important part of recruitment, having a coach or Advisor that reaches out to schools and sells its players is a major boost. VRSC is the last place to be if you think your kid is a superstar or any Mid Atlantic South GA Club for that matter.
VRSC and GA as a whole is the place you want to be if your child does not see much playing time for ECNL clubs. If your kid is not a star in ECNL or on not a starter on a ECNL Finals caliber team, you should stop thinking about P4 now. Sure there are some good GA outliers but that is few and far between.
The parents should have been doing recruiting work on their own with their kid. It's up to the player to do the majority of the work. The club can assist, and relationships can help. But it should be up to the player to do much of the heavy lifting.
ECNL>GA. Some families are stuck with VRSC for various reasons and ECNL is not in the cards. Almost all players could not make VDA roster. Some families can't drive to Mclean or Arlington three or four days a week. And then you have tolls and traffic.
BP and AS have a major part in getting kids to good D1 schools. Can't tell me otherwise. Don't act like VDA and VRSC are on the same level when it comes to how much harder BP/AS advocate for players. It absolutely makes a difference. I know for a 100% fact. I would recommend VDA any minute of the day to up coming player families without hesitation.
BPs true teat will be the U16 and below. He picked up some fools gold from vrsc and instagram on a certain team and lost some talent w the younger teams. I think the age change will help in these situations. But im really curious to see if he can pull it off again and woo players from other clubs in the younger teams. He will be goated if so.
Will also be interesting to see if vrsc and vdas relationship continues down the road they had something going with the preseason college id thingy

VDA has some GREAT parents but also has some parents that think they are the best team in the world and nobody can hold a candle to them or their child. I think every team has a few. You can find one of them in this thread.
I don’t look at that team as improved so much as team chemistry. They play more like a team and unselfish than 99% of any other team. Let’s hope the team stays healthy and get through HS season!

The player you are referring to received the majority of her development from coach n. She
AlWays dominated from pre academy days. Her juggles were always more advanced because she put in work outside of practice. She was setting records in track in elementary school.

Your comment is not a response to my post, so now sure why you're saying it's wrong. I said my DD isn't coached by CC, so now you know she's on one of the four teams coached by GD and JU. If the girls on those teams stay at Rev long enough, they will be coached by CC, and their parents can't wait for him to turn their DDs into Emily Fox. Since I stand on the sidelines with my DD's teammates' parents (and you don't, since your DD is coached by CC), I probably have a better sense than you for how those parents assess their DDs' capabilities. Most of them don't even notice the 5 to 10 foot bounce off their DDs' feet (and no, it's not because they're creating space) while they're cheering for the next goalie punt or defender long ball.
