I think U13 coach is misspelled... Trey Messiah who is currently at Valor. Interesting.

Does this mean Valor is joining FVU?

I did hear Valor and another club may be partnering with Union. Strength in numbers.

What are these clubs bringing to the table besides money?

Field space

Also postgame Juice boxes and snacks

Call it what you want, but not having to deal with b.s. alliances sounds like a win to me in the long run for McLean.

Honestly, that "alliance" was frustrating for McLean. MV controlled who gets in and LO (MV was her mentor) was going to rubber stamp whatever he wanted. Thus, VYS got the lions share of slots undeservedly. I would have done the same if I were McLean's management... staying in FVU was a losing battle. Any new member of FVU better have more authority to deal with this control.

Sorry your MYS girl didn’t make FVU last year, but you are wrong. For 2012, VYS beat both MYS and BRYC twice in the U12 year, so “undeservedly” doesn’t really stand up. Also, there is only one more VYS than MYS former player on the FVU roster - again, hardly the “lions share.” For 2011, even though LO had been the 2011 coach at BRAVE, about 2/3 of the team comes from old Union. Both teams have worked hard to come together this year as FVU — it’s petty parents on the outside trying to sow discord.

Everyone knows the VYS feeder to FVU is horrible. We’ll see how the 2013 does. If they get the big numbers in FVU again they should rename FVU to MVU after MV.

What on earth are you talking about? Multiple 2010 FVU girls that are in pool for the USWNT came through Brave / VYS.

Have NEVER seen a player from Vienna where I thought, "Man, she's really good!" You won't like this but it's honest.

I have seen VYS parents yapping and crap talking amongst themselves before the game until it's 4-0 at half. Then they just sat there quietly waiting to go home. We haven't played VYS itself for a few years. They are beneath us.

Before, you belittle my kid (the usual m.o. around this place) she is a good player, on a top team and if your kid is in the same, or similar, age group your kid knows about her as do the coaches.

I guess the player who is practicing with Gotham FC as a 2009 player or the leading scorer for the vaunted Arl 2011 team aren’t good players. They both came up through Vienna. But please tell us more about your famous u12 player known far and wide.

Outliers everywhere, Chachi. My point is, VYS is good for little kids. I've seen more VYS kids sucking down ice cream before matches or doing tik toks. . It's a nice little community club. Be happy about that.

As for practicing with Gotham, good for her. However, if you knew anything about that, in Europe kids are brought in all the time to academies and are there for a year or two then dropped. When she signs a contract that is what matters for her. It does nothing for you.
Odds are, she will not play in the NWSL. And as neither of those girls are your kids, I guess just boast about them to make you feel good about VYS.

Is your little Mia on her way to signing a contract? If she were, the entire region would know who she is, not just her u-little friends.

Odds are, 99.9999% of these girls will not play beyond college. Your ignorance is showing. This isn’t Europe and the vast majority of top players are looking for college first.

Ehhh, BFD? If your kid keeps it up, she's destined for a local beer league.

It was a direct response to your claim that you’ve never seen a good VYS player. You were provided with two examples who apparently still don’t measure up to your u10 wonderkid.

If VYS players are so bad then why for so many years has MYS trying to recruit them out? Can’t develop your own players in house? The tide will turn quickly on your club now that they got sold out to GA to develop your nonexistent boys team with mls next jr.
