But add that to the longing look at the engagement party. Sophie is the only woman other than his mother that Kevin has admitted loving.

She's the only woman he's truly pined for. Doesn't necessarily mean she'll be the one for him in the end, but curious to see how it plays out.

Somehow they have become closer during the building of the house and formation of the Big Three construction company. Cassidy was in charge of the project so it would make sense if she continued to be integral to the business.

Looks like she's sitting next to Kevin at the ceremony. I don't think Kevin brought a date though, or there wouldn't be any mystery about the hookup's identity.

They’ve kept their encounters hidden from the family in the past by her choice.

The woman in the green dress could be Sophie - doesn't really look like her in the preview but who knows. I think he and Sophie have a nice heart to heart and that's it. I don't think Cassidy really wants a relationship but is happy for "companionship" every now and then.

Maybe Sophie and Kevin slept together after the rehearsal dinner and are keeping it under wraps. The relationship progresses and they are remarried by the time Rebecca is on her deathbed.
