My tween was even embarrassed for J Lo. Shakira had more stompy fun but the pole dance, crotch grabbing, mooning through g strings and hypersexualized pouts and pelvic thrusts were not appropriate for a family sports show on at 8 pm. I did not find it empowering display of feminism for my daughter to watch but found it Demeaning and objectifying. I wish they had highlighted Latino culture in more positive and creative ways.
What you are kidding right?
Stop shaming women.
Football is violent and you let you kid watch that probably every weekend!
Racism showing through here.
Grow up and worry about football and it’s culture instead of what the ladies were wearing.
I’m sure you didn’t complain about Adam Levine last year.
Not shaming women - the opposite - not patronizing them by claiming a pseudo soft porn show was great art, empowering for women or appropriate for a family sports show.
We are a multiracial family so that mud sling is off-base.
We rarely watch football except for socially important games ... although I grew up in a football crazy culture. Strongly discouraged DS from playing football due to head injuries and leg breaks. Would never let our daughter do cheer leading as we want her playing sports herself not belittling herself for male athletes. We just wanted to celebrate a robust national tradition in a tween friendly way.
If you equate growing up with condoning soft porn by super stars at half time super bowl shows, then perhaps you would do better to examine your own maturity/ social judgment.

Is it criminal for somebody to hold a different opinion? Why are y’all so hell bent on proving the other wrong?

The NFL cheerleaders have always bothered me. Mostly because they werk it for free, but also because they are barely covered and are on display at each game. The halftime show was fine, imo.
I went out a Google rabbit hole on that one and found out that most NFL cheerleaders are making like $1, 200 a season which is just insane.
Wow!
I wonder how much that comes out per hour. There are 16 regular season games which run approx 3 hours, plus before and after the game appearances & meet and greets. Plus non game day appearances, plus team calendar photo shoots, etc. I wonder if they are reimbursed for their beauty maintenance and gym fees?
