I went to PP in college years ago, but it's not something I talk about with friends a lot. I talked about it back then, but now I don't really have a reason to bring it up in casual conversation. I have no doubt that lots of people have been to one. They don't charge you money and that's a pretty big deal if you don't have insurance or you don't have a regular doctor in your college town.

This was me. The PP was not in a "minority low income area". It was in a city with a major university (I'm talking close to 60K students) and we were "poor" because we were in school. Now I am well to do. Unless we have a HUGE cultural shift in this country, PP is needed. Those who think that people will suddenly stop having sex are living on another planet.

abortion is healthcare. so is getting birth control, pelvic exams, and std tests. I have gone to PP for well woman exams even when I had insurance for a "regular" OB.
