This was not an informative flyer, it was an invitation to feeder school families (4th and 5th grade) to attend the dedicated open house tour of the school. It was actually prepared by the school and a couple of committed prospective IB parents from one of the feeder schools. Fedder school parents (4th-5th grade) received this invitation by email through their PTO.

The tour lasted about 2.5 hours (school presentation by the Principal. Q&A session. School tour in separated groups headed by the two Vice-Principals). Interested parents (about 40 I'd say) were given a huge amount of first-hand information.

Feeder school parents who did not bother to attend this open house meeting and are instead complaining about this flyer sitting in their chair in front of the computer are obviously not looking into the school as a serious option for their kids.

The DCPS website still has the IB percentage for last year (13%). Once that is updated, we will be able to see the IB% for this year. Not sure when that will happen. The numbers on the school publication are just there to encourage kids from the feeder schools to go to Hardy.

It says, "if helpful, please feel free bringing along your 5th grader..."

It would help to have proper English on the flyer.

This flyer from Hardy is a ridiculous piece of propaganda. No information on IB vs.OOB, and it hightlights the achievements of the feeder schools. Sure, 180 have rights to go to Hardy, but how is that a Hardy achievement. Most of those kids will not attend Hardy next year. Honestly, this flyer makes me think less of the school.

When will the IB/OOB statistics come out? The feeder stats are useful, but I'm curious whether the kids coming from feeders are primarily IB or OOB.

That's about 40 kids - well above previous years #s.

Make Eaton a Charter School, or build another public middle school in NW.

I understand many SP students are at Eaton and Murch
