Jen is everyone's bossy big sister so she's Big Siss. Tyler is a big, bossy, sassy guy who loves theater and eulogizing old white women so he's Big Sass.

I think Syndey got a journalism degree from UT so she's probably working at Starbucks.

Not my kids! They keep that part of their lives as far away from me as possible.

Jen is overly interested in sex after years in fundy Christian-land. She feels naughty and very progressive discussing it. Emotionally, where sex is concerned she is where most college students are, and has missed the boat, and is trying to get back on it. It is cringy.

Honestly, she reminds me of a 20 year old coming home from college after having discovered sex.

Imagine if Brandon had his sons on a podcast and teased out from them all the girls they banged on some overseas trip? Could you imagine how gross and vulgar that would be. Just because it’s your daughter, Jen, doesn’t make it any different.

I have no beef with whatever women want to do to earn a living or make themselves happy. I have never been on the "Why doesn't Jen get a real job" bandwagon.

But seeing these women was quite an experience. How they came "on" for the camera and played the role of someone enjoying a lovely vacation for a few seconds and then griped and whined at their signifiant other/+1 people about angles, wind, and how the regular people on the cruise were "in their shot."

Pretend enjoyment, pretend drinking the drinks, pretend vacation, pretend life. All for the gram.

I thought this was probably what it is like to be next to Jen and whoever is telling her what to do and say. Seeing this in person was cringey and made me feel like I needed to wash my hands.


I used to do PR and worked with influencers. Usually, for a big paid promo, the brand will send their PR rep along to ensure everyone is doing what they're supposed to be doing. It's as shallow and vapid as you think it is. I finally had to move over to the non-profit side where I still get to work with influencers but they're a force for good and for change in the world.

I didn't listen to it but I did see the clip she posted to her socials and it was really embarrassingly uncomfortable to watch. I get it, her kid hooked up and was having a ton of sex and no one knew where she was. The end. I can't for the life of me think of why she thought this would be interesting to her followers.
