All great players! Will dominate the ISL in 2 years after gaining the experience. The sophomore class has a few players in it as well, the team is full of Capital girls.
Okay NCS freshman mom or dad, hate to burst your bubble but this won’t happen. One class of Cap Blue girls will not be enough. The perennial power houses like Sssas, Visi, SR and now Potomac all have impact players in each class. Even Saints’ amazing 2026 class has not been able to get it done through their junior year (lost to SR in ISL and Potomac in VISAA). NCS may rise to the number 5 spot in ISL (even that’s a stretch) but no way can touch the top 4. Those programs reload every year.

STAB beat GC today?
This is one of the year's biggest upsets. Is there a site listing all Saturday's scores?
Although I am unsure where to find the results, the results mentioned here are certainly interesting. There may be a connection worth examining between the duration of breaks between games (refer to the list below) and their impact on performance. Good Counsel was the only team with a two-game break between games, yet they delivered what could be considered the day's worst result. While I initially thought a two-game break would be ideal, perhaps it actually allowed too much time to cool down, making it harder for players to warm back up after the stiffness set in. Back-to-back is definitely not optimal, so the one-game break may have been the sweet spot.
Back-to-back games:
Stone Ridge
Visitation
NCS
One-game break between games:
SSSAS
Paul VI
Loyola
Norfolk Academy
Collegiate
STAB
Two-game break between games:
Good Counsel
People are over analyzing GC's loss way too much. They played lousy and STAB is a very good team that plays one of the best schedules in the country. STAB defense and goalies were great and, as someone posted earlier, the coaching is excellent. Combine all of that and it's not surprising they won the game. Tip of hat to them. Life will go on for Falcons.
Why GC "played lousy" is worthy of analysis. Taking nothing away from STAB, but GC is a much better team that should win 9 out 10 times under normal circumstances.
Not sure the analysis is time well spent but go ahead.

Every high school season, there are almost 200 "Capital girls," most of whom compete in the ISL and WCAC. On top of that, when you include girls from M&D, Hero’s, and Skywalkers, the talent pool of top club players grows even larger. However, as you may have already noticed, only a small fraction—possibly less than 10%—of them are true impact players. For NCS to “dominate the ISL”, they will need more than just some Capital girls; they’ll require a strong concentration of those impact players.
They have high impact players, major scorers, a good goalie, and defenders. Plus all of the girls from cap blue are also starters there. They have the good players, they just need to get more experience.
